The Sciencetech Polarizing variable frequency optical chopper is used with the detectors during Martin-Puplett mode. The chopper is positioned in front of the output port, and captures the output at 45 degrees from the two planes of polarization. This facilitates the retrieval of the Fourier Transform Interferogram during M-P mode. The chopper itself is designed for high stability and a broad range of frequency control (from 0.5Hz to 100Hz). The price includes the servo motor and software controller.

Sciencetech manufactures grid polarizing beam-splitters for use in the far-infrared and terahertz spectral regions. These beamsplitters divide the incoming beam according to its polarization. The beam-splitter consist of very fine parallel aluminum lines spaced 4 µm apart on a thin mylar substrate. It has the widest spectral range with a higher frequency cut-off than that of other polarizers that work in the near-millimeter wavelength range.
This particular model is 4" (10cm) diameter, and is the second largest size of the IR beam-splitter polarizer Sciencetech offers. For larger or smaller sizes, or for a full list of technical specifications, please speak with your authorized Sciencetech technical sales staff member.

The 9030DS consists of two 100 mm scanning monochromators placed in series in subtractive mode. Bandpass is determined by the width of an intermediate slit, but the 9030DS has a net output dispersion of zero because the monochromators are optically coupled so that the dispersion of the second grating cancels that of the first. This leads to homogenized wavelengths at the output port - there is no spectrum, only a single undispersed slit image - which allows the unit to act as a tunable bandpass or notch filter.

Stray light of all sorts is drastically reduced in a double monochromator, and in the 9030DS it is further minimized by the use of concave holographic gratings. It is ideal for applications where stray light is a problem - where there may be a strong scattered background, such as in spectroradiometry, Raman or UV measurements of solar radiation.

The 9030DS can be used as a tunable notch filter to remove one particular wavelength while allowing all others over the bandpass to pass through, making it an ideal instrument to pre-filter out the strong laser excitation wavelength in a Fluorescence or Raman system so that the weaker output signals can be observed.

The 9030DS is a fully integrated unit with the two diffraction gratings coupled mechanically for accurate positioning, adjusted manually using a thumb-wheel. A variety of fixed slit widths is available. It can be upgraded to be motorized and controlled by a computer with the 9030 Motorized Upgrade. Only one motor and drive unit is required for both monochromators, enabling control via Sciencetech Sci-Mono Active-X library or full featured Sci-Spec software.

The Model 9030DS can also be used to pass or filter out several selected wavelengths by using a custom intermediate multi-slit mask instead of a single width intermediate slit. Mirror coatings have been chosen for this model to enhance performance in the UV-VIS region. Please contact a Sciencetech Applications Specialist for such custom wavelength filtering.

The 9030DA double additive monochromator consists of two 9030 monochromators placed in series. Stray light is drastically reduced in a double monochromator, and in the 9030DA it is further minimized by the use of concave holographic gratings. The inbound light is dispersed by the first grating and again by the second. Both gratings rotate simultaneously in the same direction, and in the DA the monochromators are coupled so that the dispersion is double that of a single 9030 monochromator. Bandpass is half of the corresponding 9030 monochromator for the same output slit, and resolution using a 100 µm slit is 0.4 nm.
Mirror coatings have been chosen for this model to enhance performance in the UV-VIS region.

This power supply has been specifically designed for the highly stable 75W Hg lamp used inside the new SPS-300 Terahertz FTIR Spectrometer. The '500-75ST' is an adjustable, current regulated, DC Power Supply. It is meant to power up a low pressure, long arc Hg lamp by Heraeus Nobelight Model 75ST. However, it can be used by many other applications which require a steady, low noise current regulated Power Supply of up to 1A, and approximately 100W. It will work with the 500-IG-75ST 800V igniter (150-9016) to ignite the Hereaus 75ST lamp. Please do not use this power supply connected to a UPS stabilizer.

An AM1.5D 3x3" air mass filter (including filter holder) designed for Sciencetech's:
-Flash Series Solar Simulators (Class A, ASTM E927-19)

AM1.5D simulates the terrestrial solar spectrum on the ground when the sun is at a zenith angle of 48.2°. It includes only direct light from the sun, and not the diffuse light that is scattered by the atmosphere. As a result, this filter simulates the direct radiation which reaches the ground.

A 6" x 6" (152.4 mm x 152.4 mm) air mass filter specifically designed for Sciencetech's Fresnel Solar Simulator Series, including filter holder. The AM0 spectrum simulates the solar spectrum just outside Earth’s atmosphere, where there is very little atmosphere-related absorption of solar radiation. This is generally used for space applications.
