An F/2 off-axis parabolic mirror assembly with protected gold mirror coating. This assembly is intended to attach to Sciencetech's LH-S lamp houses (also works with obsolete 201C-100 lamp houses). The assembly includes a kinematic three point adjuster to optimize optical alignment. A standard hole pattern on the input and output ends of the assembly can be used to mount this optical component to custom or third party systems with appropriate bracketing.

The Sciencetech variable focus assembly is coupled to the output port of Model 201-1K arc lamp housing for refocusing its collimated light into a divergent spot. An adjustable lever is used to move the 4 lens assembly along the optical axis. The output beam can be refocused at any f number from infinity (collimated) to f/2. This feature can be used as an intensity controller as the light can be concentrated to any size spot larger or smaller than the 2" diameter of the output port.

To adjust the focus simply use the handles provided to slide the lens tube in or out of the lamp housing. Note that the lens tube has approximately 1” of travel. Stoppers on either end of the lens tube prevent the lens tube from contacting the lamp or from being pulled out of the lamp house.

This assembly uses UV-Fused Silica lenses for optimal UV light transmission.
