The Noise Probe is a low power potentiostat for the ZENNIUM-series potentiostats and is specially designed for all common electrochemical noise techniques. In addition Zahner developed CorrElNoise®. This revolutionary new method is superior to common ECN techniques as it measures the current and voltage noise in (quasi-)parallel condition by fast switching between the open circuit potential and short circuit conditions.

The Noise Probe can carry out different kind of measurements which are listed below.

-Open circuit potential noise (OCPN)
-Potentiostatic controlled current noise (PCCN)
-Galvanostatic controlled potential noise (GCPN)
-Uncorrelated current & potential noise (UCPN)
-Correlated electrochemical noise (CorrElNoise®)

High Impedance Probe

The HiZ probe set is specially designed for high impedance measurements and raise the input impedance up to 1000 TΩ || 1 pF.

U- and I-probe come in two small boxes which can easily be placed near by the sample. By this, electrical noise artifacts are minimized. Typical applications are investigations on passive layers, oxydes, nitrides, dielectric films, ceramic substrates, low conductive electrolytes, lacquers, coatings, microelectrodes etc.
The HiZ Probe set is connected to the Probe I and the Probe E terminals of the IM6 or Zennium. No additional hardware is needed.

Input impedance: 5 pF//10 T (typ.)

The FRA-Probe interfaces a third-party potentiostat or an electronic load to a ZENNIUM series potentiostat. The probe allows ZENNIUM potentiostats to modulate the current or voltage signal of third party potentiostats and carry out EIS measurements. The FRA-Probe allows ZENNIUM users to expand the power range to unlimited scales enabling EIS measurements on extreme samples like full stack fuel cells.

The third party potentiostat or the electronic load must provide an analog control input and analog signal outputs for use with the FRA-Probe.

The FRA-Probe interfaced setup can also be incorporated in a Python lab environment and can be controlled remotely.
