A system of 48 Large Area Solar Illuminator (LASI) units.
Each LASI unit illuminates up to 0.5x0.5m with a filtered Xenon Arc lamp producing 6,000K illumination. A 48 Unit array can be arranged to illuminate an area of 2x6m.
LASIs are best used in arrays of multiple units, as the optical performance improves when the light from multiple units overlaps. LASI units in arrays can produce a volumetric uniformity.
LASIs produce Class C Spectral match, Class A temporal instability. See the brochure for details about the system non-uniformity classification. Better optical performance is possible: please discuss your particular needs with your authorized Sciencetech technical support staff member.
Each unit has a single-phase power supply with a touch screen interface. Systems can be operated remotely through software.
Power requirements for each unit (1 of 48): 200-240 VAC, 12.1 to 9.0 A.
Base system does not include a mount, see brochure for product information.

This is for a sixteen unit set of LASI, designed to illuminate up to a 2x2m target with excellent three dimensional uniformity. All LASI systems operate with Xe arc lamps and therefore with the solar color temperature of 6,000 K. This allows the LASI to be used in applications that vary with depth, as opposed to generating only 2D uniformity on a single plane.
This price does not include a basic frame to hold the LASI.
This device is capable of Class C Spectral compliance and Class B temporal instability. Uniformity is typically ±15% over the central area.
Each unit has a single phase power supply and requires 200 to 240 VAC, 12.1 to 9.0 A. The required plug type needs to be defined based on the equipment's intended location.
Better performance is possible: please discuss your particular needs with your authorized Sciencetech technical support staff member.

This solar simulator is based on a Fresnel lens to collimate the light beam from the 3.0kW Xe ozone-free arc lamp source, resulting in highly collimated illumination of the target spot. The spectral distribution of the xenon light source, along with the use of specially calibrated air mass filters, closely simulates the sun’s true spectral distribution in various conditions on Earth.

Works best with 1 Sun AM1.5D filters (not included). Other AM filters are available but they may change the target size achievable. Contact a Sciencetech technical sales representative for details.

Target: up to 28 cm (11") diameter (depends on required irradiance level)
Collimation: 0.7° half angle (70% of irradiance is within)
Non-uniformity: ±25% (not classified)
Lamp: 3.0kW ozone-free Xe short arc
Lamp Housing: air cooled
Illumination Direction: horizontal
Power Supply: 611-1.6k adjustable touchscreen supply

Class: ABA
Target Size: 125mm (5”) diameter
Working Distance: 750mm (30”)
Collimation: 3 degrees half angle
Power Supply: Sciencetech 500-1k
CE compliant
Sciencetech is pleased to offer the SS-1.0kW solar simulator. This model is free of chromatic aberration and uses a fully reflective design to create uniformity on target spots, maximizing UV throughput.

The SS-1.0kW includes air-cooled arc lamp housing, 1.0kW ozone free xenon bulb, and adjustable power supply with igniter.

This solar simulator has one filter holder mounting one 76x76mm (3"x3") filter. Available Air Mass filters include AM0, AM1.0, AM1.5 direct and global, and AM2.0. Other filters such as dichroic filters and bandpass filters are available for further modification of the spectrum. Filters are sold separately; please specify which filters should be sent with the solar simulator when ordering.

This instrument features standard horizontal operation, but vertical operation is optional. A folding mirror to change output beam direction is optional.

Please speak with your authorized Sciencetech Technical Sales Staff for further details and a full range of options.
