The NIR-PMT is contained in a thermally insulated, sealed-off housing evacuated to a high vacuum. Simple operation by air cooled TE cooler. It is a high sensitivity detector with a large detection area of 18mm for collimated light. It includes a HV power supply with interlock function.

A custom temperature control system to allow operation at 77K or room temperature.
This system will come with a sample holder capable of holding 2 samples simultaneously. The cryostat can rotate the sample from 0 degrees to 360 degrees, and move the sample up and down in a range of 2". Sciencetechl provides two of these sample holders with this system.

This broadband IR area detector has a sensor size of 320 x 240 pixels and a spectral range of 2-14 μm. The pixel size is 48.5μm square. The sensor is an uncooled pyroelectric BST (Barium, Strontium, Titanate) array. Because of the nature of pyroelectric sensors, there is an internal Archimedes spiral chopper that recalibrates the image. However, this calibration system, called an Auto Image Calibration, is actually a benefit for the user. The detector self calibrates to a reference 60 times per second, which in turn causes the system to be extremely stable and to have very little fixed pattern noise.

This external transmission/reflectance sample chamber can be mated to the output port of a Sciencetech FTIR system. This chamber allows small samples to be studied in both transmission and reflectance modes, at temperatures ranging from approximately -20° Celsius to room temperature. This sisytem will come with two separate holders, each capable of holding a specific size and type of sample. They will not have the ability to rotate or moved, but will come prealigned for a fixed angle reflectivity, or transmission, through a motorized flipping mirror.

This is an external transmission and reflectance sample chamber that can be mated to an output port of the SPS-series FTIRs. This sample chamber allows small samples (such as cuvettes or thin films) to be studied in both reflection and transmission. The sample chamber shares the vacuum environment with the FTIR, but an optional window or vacuum gate (sold separately) allows the chamber to be isolated from the FTIR. The sample chamber utilizes reflective aspheric optics with gold coating for excellent far infrared and terahertz operation.

This is a microscope accessory that allows a point on the microscope field of view to be singled out for intensity or spectroscopy measurement while the light from the other areas in the field of view are physically blocked out.
A proprietary 4 curtain mechanism allows the user to crop any rectangular region of any size and any aspect ratio in the field of view to be measured while the remaining regions are blocked out. The cropped field of view can be seen through an observation eye piece. A filter drawer allows the use of color glass or interferometric filters for the rejection of undesired wavelengths.
Light transmitted through the cropped region is then directed to an output port where its intensity can be measured by an optional detector or broken down further into its constituent wavelengths via an optional monochromator attachment.
The system is light tight allowing for the use of a photon counting detector. A second output port is also available as an option for dual simultaneous measurements with a dichroic mirror or flipping mirror separating the two ports.

The Glow bar (Globar) is a typical infrared source for the THz researcher. The heating element itself is very low cost, allowing researchers to use them without worry about replacing expensive bulbs or components. The majority of the price for this unit consists of the water cooling (required for vacuum operation), large reflector to efficiently collect the radiation, and housing designed to withstand the high level of vacuum required for THz operation.
This model is specifically designed to mount to the optional External Input Port of the SPS300. If you wish to use a completed Globar unit for your own applications, please speak with a Technical Support specialist.
Please note that this device requires water cooling to operate under vacuum and includes all the lines, but not the water recirculator itself. If purchased as part of a complete SPS300 system, it is included.
