(SCIDTGS-PE) Low Noise DTGS TeraHertz Detector
Sciencetech's proprietary wideband detector design comes packaged in our standard "hockey puck" enclosure (2" diameter x 1" high) and is connectorized to be powered directly from the Stanford SR-810/830 type lock-in amplifiers,
The spectral range is limited by high density polyethylene window.
The detector WILL saturate on the visible light from the lamp. After alignment, cover the entire input opening of the detector head with thin black polyethylene to prevent undesired visible light from overloading the detector.
This detector is suitable for direct connection to Stanford SR-830 lockin preamp power. When using the Stanford lock-in, the signal overload indicator will light just before the detector saturates. The SCIDTGS-PE detector is suitable for testing FTIR alignment and material transmission measurements without special cooling.
Upon installation, the optical system MUST be re-aligned to image the iris of the light source onto the detector element. This may require rotating the entire detector head to an optimum position and/or adjusting mirrors and re-focusing.
Element size 2.0 mm dia.
Spectral bandwidth Limited by High Density Polyethylene window
Sensitivity 133,000 volts per watt HDPE Window
Frequency response 8.8Hz - 265Hz (-3db points)
N.E.P. 1x10-10 watts (100Hz, 1Hz BW)
Power requirements: +/- 15 to +/- 24 volts max @ +/- 8 mA max.
Power connections: DB-9M Pins 2,3,4,5,9 no connection
+V In Pin 1
-V In Pin 6
Common Pin 7
Case GND Pin 8
Suitable for direct connection to Stanford SR-830 lockin preamp power (not included).

Sciencetech Vacuum Grade C230X Polarizing Chopper
The Sciencetech Polarizing variable frequency optical chopper is used with the detectors during Martin-Puplett mode. The chopper is positioned in front of the output port, and captures the output at 45 degrees from the two planes of polarization. This facilitates the retrieval of the Fourier Transform Interferogram during M-P mode. The chopper itself is designed for high stability and a broad range of frequency control (from 0.5Hz to 100Hz). The price includes the servo motor and software controller.

(SCI-MO) Sci Monitor Detector Assembly
The SCI-MO reference cell is a robust PCB-mounted solar cell with an active area of 22 × 7mm. The SCI-MO is intended to be used as a reference monitor for determining solar simulator sun level. These reference cells are calibrated for 1 Sun AM1.5G using a Sciencetech Class AAA (ASTM E927-19) solar simulator. Two calibration values (Isc) in mA/Sun and mV/Sun are provided. The SCI-MO is used as the reference cell in PTS-series instruments.
Readout options for the SCI-MO require accessories. They are:
Current (in mA): in no load mode, requires a source meter (such as in SSIVT-series current-voltage measurement systems) to read out.
Voltage (in mV): in loaded mode, requires a simple voltmeter/multimeter (such as MULTIMETER), or a source meter (such as in SSIVT-series current-voltage measurement systems) to read out.
Suns: in no load mode, requires SOL-METER to read out (using current, an integrated load resistor, and a pre-loaded calibration value to display Suns).
Readout accessories, such as SOL-METER, MULTIMETER, and SSIVT-series instruments are sold separately.
The reference cell can be switched into loaded or unloaded mode via a surface mounted switch on the top of the detector PCB. A calibration value is provided for each mode of operation.
A disconnectable 1.2m long cable assembly with 4 color coded banana plugs is provided with each device.
The SCI-MO reference cell is RoHS compliant.

The SCI-SCC6-L-F is a reversible chuck that allows you to make electrical contacts to the back of your device under test and flip the chuck for back-illumination.
This model requires a water recirculator (for cooling only) or temperature control unit for temperature control (both sold separately).
Cooling area: 6" x 6"
Temperature Range: 1 - 80 ºC
Power Input: 115-240VAC
Power Usage: 2W
Options: Vacuum Pump and Water Recirculator or Temperature Control Unit

(SC-LT-Q) Calibrated Reference Cell, Quartz Window
The Solar Reference Cell consist of a 20 x 20 mm monocrystalline silicon Photovoltaic Cell encased in a 92 x 70 x 16 mm metal enclosure with a protective quartz window and a temperature sensor.
The temperature sensor is a 100 ohm platinum Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD).
The Solar Reference Cells come with an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited certificate of calibration and compatible set of connecting cables.
The certificate includes:
Isc, Imax, Voc, Vmax, Pmax, Spectral Correction, Fill Factor, Area and Efficiency.
Measurements are made in accordance with ASTM E948 and E1021, traceable to NIST and NREL.
Note - the SC-LT-Q will be replaced with SOL-REF-Q-E devices when all SC-LT-Q products are depleted. These products are functionally the same but have different cable interfaces at the device. Sciencetech will provide SOL-REF-Q-E devices for any purchases of SC-LT-Q devices made after their inventory has been depleted. SC-LT-Q devices will continue to be supported by Sciecnetech.
