The 9490 is Sciencetech's longest single path length monochromator with a 1 m focal length. Under optimum conditions with a 2400 l/mm grating it can achieve a resolution of 0.01 nm in single pass mode. This version can accommodate 64 x 64 mm, 84 x 84 mm, and 102 x 102 mm gratings for an aperture of f/13. f/9.7, and f/7.4. This model of monochromator accommodates a grating on a removable kinematic mount, allowing the user to manually swap one grating for another without losing alignment. Please note that this product includes one slit, but does not include any additional slits or a grating, these must be purchased separately. The 9040DX is a Double Additive or Subtractive design of the half meter 9040. Special care has been taken to design the system to minimize and eliminate stray light whenever possible.
A double subtractive monochromator operates to create a monochromatic light source by the 2nd monochromator cancelling the dispersion caused by the 1st monochromator. This allows a Double Subtractive system to operate as a tunable notch filter for Raman applications. The double additive is used for improved resolution. It utilizes large 102 x 102 mm gratings for high light throughput (f/12 aperture). The 9150SD accommodates one grating on a removable, kinematic mount that allows the user to manually swap one grating for another without losing alignment.
