The Model TEO200 benchtop FTIR spectrometer is a low cost Fourier transform infrared spectrometer that employs a number of unique features to achieve high performance from such a compact size. At just 385x265x160mm , it is one of the most compact FTIR systems on the market today.
The TEO200 is unique in terms of its optical geometry and software/firmware design. The optical geometry is simplified by employing a new and remarkably compact Michelson self compensating optical system that eliminates many of the optical alignment problems found in conventional linear and pendulum type optical interferometers. For example, the TEO200 design avoids the use of conventional corner cube optics and dynamic alignment. In practical terms, the instrument can be used inside a research laboratory, or even as a mobile unit in outside environments. Its software and firmware design is also tightly coordinated which significantly reduces overall data acquisition and computational time.
The sealed, desiccated enclosure of the TEO200 eliminates the need for continuous dry nitrogen purging during operation. Other notable features include an air cooled IR source as oppose to water cooled, and the interferometer mechanical bearing does not require gas supply. There are however, three dry nitrogen gas inlets on the rear of the spectrometer for the purging of the detector compartment, sample compartment, and interferometer compartment from moisture, carbon dioxide and other gases.

Please note that there are a variety of spectral ranges available, depending on the detector-beam splitter choices for the system. The price of the system includes this beam splitter, but it must be specified.

In the 9072DS, the grating in the second monochromator is arranged such that it reverses the spectral dispersion of the first monochromator. This leads to a spectrally homogenized beam at the output port of the second monochromator and greatly reduced stray light, ideal for spectroradiometry, Raman or UV measurements of solar radiation.
The arrangement of the 9072DS allows it to act either as a tunable bandpass filter or a tunable notch filter. Arranged as a tunable bandpass filter the bandpass of the device is determined by the width of an intermediate slit. When arranged as a tunable notch filter the width of the notch is determined by the physical width of an opaque notch placed at the intermediate slit position.
The 9072DS can also be used to pass or filter out several selected wavelengths by using a custom intermediate multi-slit mask instead of a single width intermediate slit.

One SS-80 slit is included, which can be attached to either the input or output port. A second slit can be added to the order if desired.
The fixed intermediate slit or notch filter is not included in the 9072DS and can be selected from any of Sciencetech's SF-series of fixed slits and added to the order. A custom multi-slit mask can be added to the order upon request.
Gratings and grating holders are not included. The 9072DS accommodates 30 × 30 mm gratings, with up to three gratings per turret. Two of each selected grating must be purchased to fill both monochromators. One grating holder is required for each grating.

This system includes 2 IEC 60320 C13 compatible power cables. Region-specific version must be selected at the time of placing an order (see product 491-9001).

In the 9072DA, the inbound light is dispersed by the first grating then passed through a fixed intermediate slit where stray light is rejected and then spectrally dispersed again by the second grating.

The double dispersion of the double additive monochromators results in a doubling of the dispersion of a single monochromator, leading to better optical resolution. The bandpass is half that of a single 9072 monochromator.

One SS-80 slit is included, which can be attached to either the input or output port. A second slit can be added to the order if desired.
The fixed slit is not included in the 9072DA and can be selected from any of Sciencetech's FWS-series of fixed slits and added to the order.

The optional external light source port upgrade provides both a motorized turning mirror and the flange for the input port so that users can couple external light sources (e.g. glowbar, Gunn diode, synchrotron) into the SPS-300. The motorized mirror switches inputs between the SPS-300 internal mercury lamp and external light source. Additional optics and chambers may be required to focus the external light source into the SPS-300.

9055DX is a motorized double 0.25 m monochromator that can be configured as additive or subtractive. Double monochromators have the advantage of extremely low stray light levels by virtue of using two gratings. An intermediate slit between the two units, used to define the wavelengths that pass to the second unit, also masks off light scattered within the body of the first unit. In double additive operation the 9055DX effective focal length (0.5 m), dispersion, and resolution (1.7 nm/mm and 0.09 nm with a 1200 l/mm grating) are doubled compared to a single unit, making this mode useful where high resolution is important. In double subtractive operation there is no dispersion in the output beam and only a single slit image appears at the output instead of a broad spread of spectral images. This allows the system to operate as a tunable bandpass or notch filter.

This system includes two manual slits (one input and one intermediate). Motorized upgrades and additional slits may be purchased separately. Gratings also need to be purchased separately, with a minimum of 2 gratings required for the system to operate. Please speak with your Sciencetech technical sales member to ensure proper grating selection.

Please see the technical datasheet for additional information.

This system includes 2 IEC 60320 C13 compatible power cables. Region-specific version must be selected at the time of placing an order (see product 491-9001).

The standard SPS-300 has a 50mm translating stage, wich can provide resolution up to 0.12 wavenumbers. The high resolution upgrade option extends the translating stage to 300mm, allowing the SPS-300 to achieve a resolution of 0.020 wavenumbers. Due to the increased stage length, an extension to the vacuum-sealed body is needed to accommodate the extra distance.
