This vertical stand enables high powered fully reflective solar simulators to project their output beam downwards onto a horizontal illumination table which makes it ideal for solar cell testing. The beam is projected down onto a built-in sample platform where the sample such as a solar cell is placed. The stand assures the distance between the output port of the solar simulator to the sample platform produces exactly 1 SUN intensity (100mW/cm2 using an AM1.5G filter).

Without the Downward Facing Vertical Stand, a Solar Simulator projects the beam parallel to the floor at cells mounted vertically.
Please speak with your authorized Sciencetech technical sales staff member to discuss any potential customization options you require.

The Sciencetech 9030 monochromator is a compact, single grating, scanning monochromator with 100 mm focal length (both output and input). It has a manual wavelength selector dial with an optional external motor drive for computerized control. The compact design is made possible by its Seya-Namioka optical layout, using a single holographic concave grating and f/3.2 aperture. The input and output ports are purposely placed optically in-line, making it a simple addition to a straight line beam in an optical system. Being a scanning monochromator, it does not have a flat output field and hence cannot be operated as a spectrograph with a multi-channel detector mounted at the output port. However, it can be used as an excitation wavelength tunable light source.

Mirror coatings have been chosen for this model to enhance performance in the VIS-IR region. There are 5 grating choices (sold separately) covering from UV to near-IR; choose a VIS to NIR range to pair with the VIS/IR mirror coatings on this model.

Please add a minimum of two slits (for the input and output) separately. Several removable fixed-width slit sizes are available to choose from ranging from 50 μm to 3 mm width. Please note that a 50μm slit may introduce some artifacts when used with the 9030 - this model is recommended to be used with slits of 100μm or larger for best performance in most applications. Additional removable slits and custom width slits can also be purchased.
Available slits include:
Model Slit Width
SF005 - 50 μm
SF010 - 100μm
SF025 - 250μm
SF050 - 500μm
SF100 - 1mm
