(IRE-12) Coiled Filament Infrared Emitter (1um - 30 um), 8W IR Source
The IRE-12 a coiled filament operating at approximately 900 degrees Celsius when powered with 10 watts. The radiating element is a coil of resistance wire which has a high emissivity in the Infrared spectral region. The coil is supported by a grooved cylindrical substrate of alumina, resulting in the windings being electrically insulated from each other. This contributes to a more uniform radiating source. The unit does not require operation in a sealed atmosphere. The header is fabricated from cold-rolled steel. The support pins are hermetically sealed in glass.

SPS-300 Sample Chamber (SPS403)
This is an external transmission and reflectance sample chamber that can be mated to an output port of the SPS-series FTIRs. This sample chamber allows small samples (such as cuvettes or thin films) to be studied in both reflection and transmission. The sample chamber shares the vacuum environment with the FTIR, but an optional window or vacuum gate (sold separately) allows the chamber to be isolated from the FTIR. The sample chamber utilizes reflective aspheric optics with gold coating for excellent far infrared and terahertz operation.

A standard single-element detector mount for Sciencetech's line of monochromators and/or spectrometers. This quick release mount comes complete with Sciencetech's quick release mount (125-8012) as well as a quick release flange which mounts to a detector or component. The quick release flange has an internal 1.035-40 thread which can be used to mount Sciencetech's 525-5 line of detectors as well as other common optical components such as Thorlabs 1" lens tubes.
Please note that this mount will not work with dewer style detectors. If you are uncertain about what type of detector mount your system needs, please contact your Sciencetech representative.

The coupling tube that connects them together is 1" in diameter, and has one lens with a matching monochromator F number. When the sample chamber is connected to the input port of a monochromator/spectrograph, collimated light from the sample chamber is then focused into the slit of the monochromator matching its input F number using a single lens. When the sample chamber is connected to the output port of a monochromator, the output light of the monochromator is collected by a single lens with matching output F number and then collimated for entry into the sample chamber.
This product includes the F-matching lens, tubes, and mechanical connections required to couple the sample chamber to the monochromator. Please specify if this will be an input or output coupling when ordering.
