The IRE-12 a coiled filament operating at approximately 900 degrees Celsius when powered with 10 watts. The radiating element is a coil of resistance wire which has a high emissivity in the Infrared spectral region. The coil is supported by a grooved cylindrical substrate of alumina, resulting in the windings being electrically insulated from each other. This contributes to a more uniform radiating source. The unit does not require operation in a sealed atmosphere. The header is fabricated from cold-rolled steel. The support pins are hermetically sealed in glass.

This holder is economical choice for slits for Sciencetech monochromators such as the 9055.
This slit holder is required when using the fixed slits designed for the 9030 (Product Numbers 120-9010, 120-9011, 120-9012, 120-9013, 120-9033, and 120-9034). This slit holder comes with one fixed width slit from these options. Only one slit holder is required per input/output; different slits can be exchanged using the same slit holder. The cuvette holder inside the sample chamber can be replaced with an optional thin film holder. This thin film holder is 2" x 2" square, although other sizes are available (please enquire). The thin film holder is placed at an angle to the input port such that the angle of incidence is 45 degrees. Should the optional TE sample cooling pad be ordered, this cooler connects directly to the thin film holder frame at the base, hence cooling of the sample is done through physical contact with the frame.

The SCI-MO reference cell is a robust PCB-mounted solar cell with an active area of 22 × 7mm. The SCI-MO is intended to be used as a reference monitor for determining solar simulator sun level. These reference cells are calibrated for 1 Sun AM1.5G using a Sciencetech Class AAA (ASTM E927-19) solar simulator. Two calibration values (Isc) in mA/Sun and mV/Sun are provided. The SCI-MO is used as the reference cell in PTS-series instruments.

Readout options for the SCI-MO require accessories. They are:
Current (in mA): in no load mode, requires a source meter (such as in SSIVT-series current-voltage measurement systems) to read out.
Voltage (in mV): in loaded mode, requires a simple voltmeter/multimeter (such as MULTIMETER), or a source meter (such as in SSIVT-series current-voltage measurement systems) to read out.
Suns: in no load mode, requires SOL-METER to read out (using current, an integrated load resistor, and a pre-loaded calibration value to display Suns).

Readout accessories, such as SOL-METER, MULTIMETER, and SSIVT-series instruments are sold separately.

The reference cell can be switched into loaded or unloaded mode via a surface mounted switch on the top of the detector PCB. A calibration value is provided for each mode of operation.
A disconnectable 1.2m long cable assembly with 4 color coded banana plugs is provided with each device.

The SCI-MO reference cell is RoHS compliant.

This filter set consists of three wire-mesh neutral-density filters to be installed in the filter wheel. This filter set is designed to be used with the Sciencetech's Solar Lightline fiber-based solar simulator. Optical density of each filter is selected such that the final beam output from the light guide and collimator will be selectable at 1, 2, 3 or 4 suns for the A4 Lightline (no ND filter) or 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1 Suns for the A1 and AX Lightline systems.
