The Sciencetech 9040 is a half meter, high performance monochromator/spectrograph. It supports large size gratings for high light throughput: three sizes are available: 64 × 64mm, 84 × 84 mm, and 102 × 102mm which allow it to achieve apertures of f/6.9, f/5.2 and f/4.0 respectively. This version is f/6.9, and suitable for use with 64 × 64mm sized ruled or holographic reflection gratings.
The 9040 is based on the Czerny-Turner optical configuration. The 9040 supports both single grating and triple grating turret configurations. This version is the triple grating turret version and supports up to three gratings mounted on a rotating turret for wavelength selection. The 9040 is also available in double additive and double subtractive versions to obtain even higher resolution or to minimize stray light.
This model includes a single SS-84 high-resolution manual slit at the input. If an output slit is required, it must be added separately. Motorized slits are available as an upgrade.
This monochromator is not configurable for double pass mode.
The system is configured by default for front input and output ports, but lateral or dual input and output ports can be added separately.

9055-DX is a motorized double 1/4m monochromator that can be switched between additive and subtractive configurations. Double monochromators have the advantage of extremely low stray light levels by virtue of using two gratings. An intermediate slit between the two units, used to define the wavelengths that pass to the second unit, also masks off light scattered within the body of the first unit. In double additive operation the 9055DX effective focal length (1/2m), dispersion and resolution (1.7nm/mm and .09nm with a 1200 l/mm grating) are doubled compared to a single unit, making this mode useful where high resolution is important. In double subtractive operation there is no dispersion in the output beam and only a single slit image appears at the output instead of a broad spread of spectral images. This allows the system to operate as a tuneable bandpass or notch filter.
This system includes two manual slits (one input and one intermediate). Motorized upgrades and additional slits may be purchased separately.

This is an Echelle Spectrometer designed for diffraction limit operation, that provides a full spectrum coverage without gaps over a tunable 150nm range at a resolution of ~2pm in single pass mode. The spectrometer uses two gratings, two 1.5m f.l. parabolic reflectors and a corrector lens to produce a cross-dispersed echellegram that is recorded on a 3k x 3k cooled CCD camera with 12u pixels, at a dispersion of 1 pm/pixel. The long, thin echellegram is fit to the square CCD format using a 3 section image slicer, to maximize wavelength coverage and resolution.
Input optics include a micrometer adjustable rectangular input slit and a computer controlled source selector that can switch between four available input ports, useful in calibration.
