A Beam Turning Assembly can be mounted to the output port of many of Sciencetech's Solar Simulators to redirect the light downwards onto a sample platform. The Beam Turner may also be used to adjust the light path to any 90° angle perpendicular to the horizontal output beam.

This Broadband Thermopile Detector allows the measurement of total broadband radiation emitted by a light source. It could also be used to measure the light power density on a surface (in W/cm2) which is particularly useful for uniformity measurements and for checking solar simulator performance. This detector has a 19mm diameter sensor and picks up all wavelengths between 190-11μm (UV-VIS-IR). Please note that this detector head requires either an external display controller or computer interface (sold separately - see below) to show the measured power. The price shown includes the detector head, post, post holder, and base only.

This thermopile is recommended for high-powered light sources (such as focused 500W + arc lamps) and concetrator solar simulators (5 Suns +, 500 mW/cm2).

Sciencetech cold mirrors reflect visible energy and transmit the infrared (heat energy). The cold mirrors are vacuum deposited and all dielectric.
UV cold mirror is specially designed to reflect more than 95% average of ultra-violet rays from 350-450nm and transmit more than 90% average 550-1200nm at 45 degrees angle of incidence. Custom angles of incidence can be designed to specification.

The SCC-VPME1 is a quiet vacuum pump intended for use with Sciencetech's SCC-series cell chucks. The pump is capable of providing vacuum hold down for cells up to 30 × 30 cm (12" × 12"). It runs quietly, minimizing disruption to the testing environment. This pump is required for cells over 90 × 90 mm (3.5" × 3.5").

This standard optical liquid filter is equipped with fused quartz windows (270 to 2500 nm) which transmit UV light and can be used for UV applications. It can be operated either horizontally or vertically but horizontal operation is preferable due to potential risk of air gap in the light path. Aluminum provides superior heat transfer compared to stainless steel but should not be used in corrosive environments.

The Sciencetech variable focus assembly is coupled to the output port of Model 201-1K arc lamp housing for refocusing its collimated light into a divergent spot. An adjustable lever is used to move the 4 lens assembly along the optical axis. The output beam can be refocused at any f number from infinity (collimated) to f/2. This feature can be used as an intensity controller as the light can be concentrated to any size spot larger or smaller than the 2" diameter of the output port.

To adjust the focus simply use the handles provided to slide the lens tube in or out of the lamp housing. Note that the lens tube has approximately 1” of travel. Stoppers on either end of the lens tube prevent the lens tube from contacting the lamp or from being pulled out of the lamp house.

This assembly uses UV-Fused Silica lenses for optimal UV light transmission.
