Filter Option



This filter set consists of three wire-mesh neutral-density filters to be installed in the filter wheel. This filter set is designed to be used with the Sciencetech's Solar Lightline fiber-based solar simulator. Optical density of each filter is selected such that the final beam output from the light guide and collimator will be selectable at 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1 of maximum irradiance for the AX Lightline system.

A sample platform designed to operate for any of Sciencetech's line of Fully Reflective solar simulators. The sample tray is intended to be used with SS0.5k-SS1.6k simulators with downward facing beams. The SCI-MO reference cell is a robust PCB-mounted solar cell with an active area of 22 × 7 mm. The SCI-MO is intended to be used as a reference monitor for determining solar simulator sun level. These reference cells are calibrated for 1 Sun AM1.5G using a Sciencetech Class AAA (ASTM E927-19) solar simulator. Two calibration values (Isc) in mA/Sun and mV/Sun are provided. The SCI-MO is used as the reference cell in PTS-series instruments.

Measurement Range: 0.1 to 2 Suns AM1.5G, or 0.1-1.5 Suns AM0

Readout options for the SCI-MO require accessories. They are:
Current (in mA): in no load mode, requires a source meter (such as in SSIVT-series current-voltage measurement systems) to read out.
Voltage (in mV): in loaded mode, requires a simple voltmeter/multimeter (such as MULTIMETER), or a source meter (such as in SSIVT-series current-voltage measurement systems) to read out.
Suns: in no load mode, requires SOL-METER to read out (using current, an integrated load resistor, and a pre-loaded calibration value to display Suns).

Readout accessories, such as SOL-METER, MULTIMETER, and SSIVT-series instruments are sold separately.

The reference cell can be switched into loaded or unloaded mode via a surface mounted switch on the top of the detector PCB. A calibration value is provided for each mode of operation.
A disconnectable 1.2m long cable assembly with 4 color coded banana plugs is provided with each device.

The SCI-MO reference cell is RoHS compliant.

Sciencetech's FB1T filter box holds one filter per filter box and can accommodate up to 3" x 3" filters. The FB1T filter box is used to stop back reflections from travelling along the path of the incident light. The FB1T filter boxes are stackable, so multiple FB1T filter boxes can be attached if using more than one filter at once is required.
The FB1T has standard mounting for slip rings that are compatible with 2" diameter lens tubes.
For mounting with 1" diameter lens tubes Sciencetech's S4-1D (100-8038) coupling adaptor is required.

No filter holders are included and filter holders are dependent on the size of the filters to be used.

Compatible filter holders are the FT-series (e.g. FT-75).

Downward-facing stand for the LH- series lamp housing and SF solar simulators.
This stand allows for downwards illumination as well as adjusting the location of the uniform plane relative to the baseplate of the downward-facing stand. Note that this does not change the actual working distance of the solar simulator.
The light source can also be positioned for upwards or horizontal beam directions.
This stand includes two sets of holes for mounting the vertical supports. This permits mounting an LH housing using either base plate and in any orientation. Please see the product information for recommended orientations for each housing type.

This high-powered filter is designed for band blocking of near-infrared radiation.

This filter contains a hot mirror for filtering out IR light to remove thermal heat on the target. However, standard hot mirrors also remove UV light as a side-effect which mean it cannot be used in UV applications. This special hot mirror removes IR light between 730-1100nm while preserving UVA and UVB light (280-400nm) in addition to visible light. This filter is ideal for Sciencetech UV solar simulators where the filtering of thermal heat on the target is desired and preservation of UVA and UVB light is required. This filter is intended for use at 0 degree angle of incidence.

This filter is mounted in Sciencetech FT style filter mount with a 73 mm diameter clear aperture.

Please note this filter does not eliminate all thermal heat in the IR range as this filter stops at 1,100nm. Hence IR heat beyond 1,100nm still pass through. To remove more IR light see Sciencetech's range of IR water filters or contact a Sciencetech application scientist to learn about other options.
