hardware level, hands-on skills at mechanical prototype assembly, mechanical
design and drawing reading, technical writing in English, programming in
various machine languages, component sourcing and staying ahead of engineering
workload.  

 

Position is for our RMA and warranty department, able to multi-task in a small company environment.

 

3 years experience an asset.

 

Other Requirements:

Able to speak and write in English fluently, perfect

Mechanical Engineering Technologist / Engineer

Title: Mechanical Engineering Technologist / Engineer Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Entry level under Senor Designer with future position to advance. Salary: To be negotiated Anticipated Start Date: To be decided Location: 1450 global drive London Ontario (no bus) Job Description: Design and develop electrical / mechanical / optical equipment that are both customized as well as standard related to spectroscopic instrumentation. Work with a team for troubleshooting internal problems as well as RMA’s and customer support. Improve designs paying close attestation to detail, cost, and documentation. Monitoring the in house machine shop quality as well as parts out sourced. Track inventory levels for machined parts. Skill Requirements: AutoCAD, Solidworks, experience with 3D cad systems, Bill of materials, an understanding of tolerance related to machining, Organizational skills, Microsoft Office. Must have a good understanding of design intent in solidworks. Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training /Degree Experience: Both new grads or experienced workers will be considered. NSERC Industrial R&D Fellowship

Sciencetech has a position available for an NSERC industrial post doctoral R&D fellowship to work consistent with the requirements of the program from the National Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada. In accordance with the NSERC program the position is for two years with the possibility of continued full time employment afterwards.
 
Sciencetech Inc. is a wholly Canadian Corporation that develops and manufactures instrumentation in the fields of Optics, Electro-Optics and Opto-mechanics for medical, Industrial and Scientific Purposes. Our main Area of work is in Spectroscopy.
 
The Candidate must be near completion or have completed a Ph.D. Program in Physics, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, preferably in the field of Optical Instrumentation, Experimental Physics or Engineering Physics. Experience with instrumentation for the UV/VIS/NIR and programming skills in a windows environment are important assets.
 
Candidates must be Canadian Citizens or have Landed Immigrant Status.

Senior Technical Sales Specialists

Sciencetech Inc. is a global provider of optical detection (spectroscopy, interferometry), light sources, and solar simulator equipment to the research and manufacturing communities.  We have two full time positions, one for a Professional Salesperson to be a member of our European, Latin America and Middle East team. We also have a full time position for a Professional Salesperson to be a member of our India/ Far East team. These positions and the teams will be based out of our Head Office in London, Ontario.
 


Responsibilities
Member of a territory which will generate $800K in sales per year.
Achieve personal sales goals for Sciencetech spectroscopic research equipment.
Implement assigned business plan activities for the territory, including market penetration, sales, and profitability with measurable (SMART) goals.
Prospect for new customers, handle customer inquiries, develop solutions and sales quotations (with support from Sciencetech's Engineering or Manufacturing departments).
Work with our representative/agent sales channel to achieve the above quoted goals.
Provide input regarding: sales process improvements, marketing strategies, industry intelligence, and product and solution improvements.
Attend and/or coordinate participation at one or two Tradeshows per year.
Some travel may be required in support of business plans.
Experience, Skills, and Behaviors
 
Experience using consultative and solution selling strategies such as Strategic Selling, SPIN, Customer Centric Selling, etc.
Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, leadership, organizational, and business skills.
Able to handle multiple assignments in a fast paced organization.
Experience with or ability to learn spectroscopy, interferometry, and solar energy technologies.
Experience in the sales of scientific, medical, or advanced technology equipment to academic or research centers a definite advantage.
 
Qualifications
 
A minimum of a university degree or college diploma in science, engineering or technology is in general, desirable. Good Sales experience on related areas will be considered if the technical education is not available.
Preferred M.Sc. or Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or physics or university degree in materials, electrical, or chemical engineering.
Desirable: experience with some or all of the following: spectrometers, light sources, detectors, and optical components.
Minimum 1-2 years experience in technical sales.
Speak, read, and write fluently in English.
Speak, read, and write fluently in another language an asset: Spanish or French preferred for Europe or Latino American Markets; Mandarin/ Cantonese for Far East Market.
