This model consists of a glass core, standard sheathing PVC monocoil. UV optical grade fused silica core fibers are also available (refer to the UVQF and UVSS model fibers).

Sciencetech's Fiber Bundles feature a large diameter for high throughput from larger sources. They enclose the light path and eliminate the need for alignment of the instruments as well as having broad spectral ranges. They are used in applications where sources are large or have large filaments.
Sciencetech offers fiber bundles in quartz and glass.

The Fiber bundles terminate with a standard rectangular (slit type) end, making them suitable for input to a monochromator. 1/8" diameter bundles are offered in a circular to rectangular configuration. Standard active area for the rectangular end is 0.382" x 0.032" (9.7 x 0.8 mm). Other nonstandard slit terminations are available.

Glass Fiber Bundles
Glass fiber bundles feature a core a flint glass and soda lime cladding. Individual fiber diameter is 0.05 mm. Glass bundles have a numerical aperture of 0.55 nominal, acceptance cone of 68° and a spectral range of 0.4 to 2.0 mm.
