This globar consist of the element only. There is no housing, and the power supply is sold separately. The element is made of silicon carbide with a 10 x 10mm active area. It is designed to take up to 24VDC at 6.0A. Sciencetech also manufactures a globar housing for its SPS-300 Terahertz Spectrometer, but is classified under a separate product. That globar housing is expensive as the globar is operated in a 10^-3 Torr vacuum environment.
