This external modular sample chamber features a four port configuration (one port on each side wall) for specular reflection and transmission detection views. It allows for transmission at 0º (in-line) and reflection at 90º with respect to the input port. Please note this sample chamber do not include any built-in focusing and defocusing optics onto the sample as the light beam through the chamber is anticipated to be collimated. Such focusing and defocusing optics is part of the optical coupling tubes that connects the sample chamber to various external pieces such as a light source and monochromator. The sample chamber holder has a removable lid to reveal the sample inside. Various sample holders are available to accommodate, thin films, solids, and liquid samples. Liquid Nitrogen purge ports are also available as an option.

Sample chamber module To be able to do experiments with solid samples in contact with gas or liquid solutions, the simplest approach is to include small dedicated modular set-ups inside a larger enclosure. Removable compartment for gas and aerosol • Possibility to blow gas or aerosol through the compartment for gas and aerosol (Input/output gas-tube via back side of the sample chamber). We will design this compartment made from Teflon. The compartment will be mounted inside the SC3201, transmission/fluorescence sample chamber. The compartment will have openings (holes) for gas tubes to allow blowing aerosolized analytes into it. The cell will have two UV fused silica windows for reflectance measurements. The compartment will be large enough to accommodate the solid sample attachment above. Please specify the dimensions of your samples: L x W x H. Removable compartment for gas and aerosol 3c. Cuvette Holder
The sample chamber has a holder for standard 10mm path length cuvettes inside. Such cuvettes typically have an outer dimension of 12.5mm x 12.5mm x 45mm (L x W x H) and is accessible by removing the sample chamber's top lid. This holder can be replaced with a thin film holder (not shown).
