Sciencetech CCD and Linear InGaAs Detector Fixed Wedge Mount For 8030 VR10

Sciencetech CCD and Linear InGaAs Detector Fixed Wedge Mount For 8030 VR10
SKU: 9000M-CCD-H-8030VR10

Sciencetech manufactures a "custom" fixed wedge mount for mounting Hamamatsu CCD, InGaAs and other IR multi-channel detector onto its spectrographs. The term "custom" is used, as the left/right angular tilt angle and focal plane gap distance needs to be specified. The left/right angular tilt angle depends on the spectral region of interest and also the model of the monochromator. The focal plane gap depends on the focal plane gap extension chosen, but is typically 9mm, 13mm, or 20mm. Please speak to a Sciencetech Applications Specialist to determine which focal plane gap you require. Price includes detector focal plane alignment.

Angular Tilt
The output focal plane is actually on a slight left/right angular tilt. The amount of tilt depends on the spectrograph model and is generally greater for smaller focal length models. It also varies according to the spectral region of interest, the spectral range of interest, and also the grating being used. For larger monochromators/spectrographs like the 9040, this angular tilt is typically 1-2°. For example, it is 1.68° at 550nm. For standard size monochromators/spectrographs like the 9055, this angular tilt is greater, typically 4-6°. For example, it is 4.0° for 450-6300nm, 5.5° for 200-350nm, and 6.4° for 350-700nm. Therefore, the customer must specify what angular tilt is required.

Focal Plane Gap Distance The output port focal plane of a standard Sciencetech spectrograph is 3mm from the face plate. This is too small to accommodate a Sciencetech or Hamamatsu CCD or InGaAs array detector. For 9040 and larger spectrographs, this gap has to be at least 9mm. For 9055, this gap will likely need to be at least 13mm.
