Utilizing two separate light sources, a 1kW arc lamp and QTH, the 9055 Double Additive Monochromator coupled with a Si/Pb Detector is a highly tunable light source. In addition, the system implemented two filter wheels, a chopper for the QTH, and an IR filter for the arc lamp.
Notable for the extreme accuracy of the monochromator tracking, even with small intermediate slits, and for the automation of nearly all components (motorized slits, automatic flipping mirrors for both input and output and computerized control of all four gratings in the double monochromator), this system was both a hardware and software benchmark for Sciencetech.
