Readout Electronics - The standard SPS-300 detector readout electronics is incapable of reading the bolometer output in pico-second or even nano-second intervals. Hence this needs to be upgraded in order for the SPS-300 to capture the peak power of the THz pulse. This upgrade includes upgrades to the A/D electronics, the addition of a synchronization trigger with the external THz source, as well as the SPS-300 software. The SPS-300 software is only designed to use the peak power recorded for its interferogram calculation. Hence the customer may want to enhance or modify this software to measure the spectrum at other phases of the pulse such as for example, the beginning or end of the pulse cycle.
