This Active-X module is to be used with Sciencetech's multi-channel detectors and data acquisition system such as Sciencetech's LDA Photo-diode linear array detector, CCD linear array detector, CCD area array detector (for imaging spectrographs), and InGaAs linear array detector. Please note that a special version of this software is required for the CCD area arrays. The software allows the user to control and acquire spectral data from the detectors. Being an Active-X software, it can be used as a stand-alone data acquisition software application, or embedded into a custom application written in C++, Visual C++, Visual Basic, or even LabView for access to its features.
Non Linear Pixel Distortion Correction
Due to spherical aberration, the focal plane at the output port is slightly curved. This means the wavelength dispersion over the assume flat focal plane of the detector is not exactly linear. Read-LDA incorporates a quadratic equation to correct for this non-linear pixel distortion at the detector. The parameters of this quadratic correction formula is stored in the configuration file.
