Holographic notch filters provide excellent attenuation of the Rayleigh line while passing bands as near to it as 50 cm-1. These filters exhibit good transmission in both the Stokes and anti-Stokes regions.

The advantage of Holographic Notch filters are: high attenuation of the Rayleigh line; narrow bandwidth; sharp spectral edges; good transmission outside the band, even at low wavenumbers; high damage threshold; and stability to the environment.
