The 9040D double half meter high spectrometer is specially designed for Raman applications. The standard version can be ordered for either double additive or double subtractive operation - specify DA or DS - and a switchable DX version is also available at extra cost. Operation is computer controlled using the software provided and manual control is also available. As for the 9030, special care has been taken to eliminate stray light. The 9040D includes a light tight enclosure with a special wall between the two monochromator sections and special baffles, gaskets and mounts for mirror and gratings. Input, intermediate and output slits are adjustable up to 30 mm in height. Holographic gratings are mounted on kinematic mounts for easy replacement, and do not require re-alignment. Stepper motor with microprocessor controller is included. Scanning is user selectable, done linearly in energy (cm^-1, eV, etc.) or wavelengths (nm, mm, Å). The 9040D can also be fitted with one of Sciencetech’s photodiode array detectors or cooled CCD’s.
