Collimated Small Beam Solar SimulatorThis inexpensive, small beam solar simulator is designed for applications where field size/power level can be sacrificed for cost-efficiency. With 1" optics uniformity is class A over a 1" field just past the output collimator, and collimation radius is better than 1 degree. At other locations uniformity is class A over about 1/2 the full field size. If this location is inconvenient (e.g. if filters are needed) a coupling lens can be added to project the uniform field to a more suitable location and selectable target size (but the beam is no longer collimated without introducing a 3rd lens).
